Sure: Even a sugar pill (placebo) can get you high. The subjective effects of drugs are highly influenced by "set" (expectations and existing feelings) and "setting" (environment). 1 mg of Xanax (alprazolam) is definitely a psychoactive dose, but even if it wasn't you might still feel high. Unfortunately, Xanax is also highly addictive and dangerous if mixed with other CNS depressants like alcohol.
