Usually one surgery: usually good results come from one rhinoplasty. Sometimes s revision may be necessary but it is not usually the case. Thick skin does make the surgery more difficult.

No. Yes.: Most results in the hands of a skilled surgeon are finished in one procedure. Sometimes revisions are necessary. Thicker skin takes longer to heal, and the results may not be as good since the thicker skin does not "drape" as well as thinner skin. Make sure your surgeon is a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Thick nasal skin: Having thicker skin on the nose is a blessing in the long-run, but can make for a slower recovery because of greater swelling. An appropriate facial analysis during the pre-operative planning period should result in a plan that does NOT typically require more than a single surgery. There are countless techniques available to help thick skinned noses get great results.
