Several things: Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic medicine which can help bowel issues but in the older population like your mother it can cause a lot of issues like confusion, drowsiness, and weakness. You should contact your mom's doctor. But it's possible that this is from something totally unrelated, don't sit on this too long.

Side effects: Dicyclomine can cause fatigue and weakness in some people, up to 10% as well as dizziness. Call her doctor now. Depending on why it was ordered, if it was ordered to be taken on an as needed basis, stop it for now til you hear from the doc. Or call now and talk to him/her or whoever is on call for your doc's group.
