Depends, more info: Hi. How long has he been diabetic, and is the diabetes well controlled or not? Does he have any known diabetic complications (eye, kidney, nerve)? There can be diabetic autonomic neuropathies that cause intestinal paralysis (gastroparesis) and constipation and diarrhea. So without knowing more, all we can say is it is possible that the symptoms are related to his diabetes. I hope he well controlle
