Eating wet dirt: May be PICA a syndrome where one has the urge to eat non nutritive substances. Found in individuals with iron deficiency, celiac disease( malabsorption), hookworm infestation, poor nutrition, lower socioeconomic status. May also be associated with Kleine-Levin syndrome , or psychological disorders . Follow up with MD/ gastroenterologist.
