When i go to sleep in bed my body shakes why is that?

Shakes: If your whole body really shakes, it can be chills, nervous reaction, or type of convulsive activity which doesn't sound likely. Or perhaps you feel like your body is shaking when it actually is not. It doesn't appear to be a serious issue but if you're quite concerned about this discuss this with your physician.

JERKS?: When you say "shakes" while going to bed do you perhaps mean some jerks or sudden body jolts as you're going from an awake to a sleeping state? Those are called HYPNAGOGIC episodes or HYPNOGOGIA...and there is nothing abnormal or dangerous about them....everybody can get them. Jerks or shakes are associated with falling asleep and are called hypnagogic dreams.
