A member asked:

Chronic sore throet also a cough and hicups with a burp 5+ weeks sore throat reflux if not reflux what could it be not diagnosed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sounds like reflux: Putting all the signs together, your throat irritation results from the reflux acid coming up the esophagus and causing painful symptoms. Treatment should include antacids (Tums) and some form of proton pump inhibitor daily like Omeprazole. These both can be obtained over the counter, but a doctor's care will improve your outcome !
