I agree: i agree with your doctor, you should avoid surgery and look for alternative pain generator diagnosis , the injections have therapeutic,diagnostic as well as prognostic information if shots dont give you temporary relief i would consider your pain generator as unknown , unknown pain generator is an absolute contraindication for surgery in my practice. What do your images reveal?
