A member asked:

The calcium level in my blood is 10.2 mg/dl whereas the normal value is 8.1 to 9.5 mg/dl so is there any problem ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally no.: 10.2 should still be either normal or very close to normal depending upon your lab. Calcium is rarely an isolated indicator that anything is seriously wrong. Would do well to repeat this in 6-12 months and consider measuring intact parathyroid hormone.
