What can cause fibular pain besides fracture? x-ray's show bone growth and pain is skeletal, but not healing after 6weeks in a boot. mri is ordered.

Ligamentous injury: X-rays show bones, but not sift tissues. So if your X-rays were normal it is likely you injured a soft tissue in the area such as a ligament or tendon. The MRI should provide good information.
