Hi doc, i stopped fluoxetine 5 months ago after having taken it for some 15 years can this be why i have a terrible temper now?

Cause & effect: Fluoxetine is used to treat mood disorders. So it's more likely that you had temper control issues prior to starting Fluoxetine 15yrs ago and very unlikely that stopping the medication "caused" terrible temper. If concerned, talk to prescribing doc who stopped medication. Consider counseling vs restarting same vs restarting another medication. Definitely try counseling first plus one of other two
