This is the second time in two weeks i've thrown up after eating a salad. could it really be i have food poisoning or do i have some sort of allergy?

Probable: Unless both occasions were from the same batch of salad when spoilage would be suspected, you had likely anaphylactic reactions to something in the salad. The chances for anaphylaxis (a life-threatening form of allergic response) are higher when there are itching, flushing, and /or hives. If you can't figure out which ingredient in the salad caused your problem, consult an allergist.
