Difference between sun burn & sun poisoning? some say it is the same thing and others say they are distinctly different. ie, it is an allergy, etc.,

A matter of degree: Many people get sunburn but it is mostly a transient annoyance. If you get severely sunburnt , then it is likely a 3rd degree burn and may require intensive medical treatment. I presume that's what one would call sun poisoning.
