Probably, but...: A 2003 study (and others) showed that Black Cohosh has no estrogen related effects. Symptom relief in menopausal women may be due to that fact that the plant's compounds bind to serotonin receptors in the brain. In the end, whether your symptoms are due to low serotonin or estrogen fluctuation is unclear without knowing all of your symptoms. Lab testing can help, but symptoms are most important.
