It depends: It depends on the type of cyst and whether you mean 2.7 cm (27 mm) or 27 cm. if it is 27 cm surgery is the answer regardless of the type of cyst. Talk to your doctor who ordered the ultrasound about pain management and what if anything needs to be done about the cyst. Sometimes watchful waiting is the best.
