Ive been experiencing pain in the one of my ovaries and ive also been bleeding which is very out of the ordinary since ive been in depo provera for nearly two years now and i have not had my period since i started taking it. could it be a cyst?

Could be...: Pain in the ovary can be caused by a variety of things. One you already mentioned is very common (Ovarian Cyst) These are typically reabsorbed with no treatment over 1-2 weeks time. There can also be other causes. PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) which is closely associated with STD's, Endometriosis, and Ovarian tumor or torsion. It would be wise to see your Dr if the pain persists or worsens

Probably not: How long has it been since your last Depo-Provera shot? Stress from surgery may affect your hormonal balance, but probably just a coincidence.
