A member asked:

Are lab results accurate if the blood was collected and resulted 7 days later?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on what tests were done. It also depends on how the blood was stored during the 7 day period. Some components are very labile, blood ammonia being among the more labile. If serum or plasma was separated and stored frozen, most chemicals and enzymes will be okay. You may wish to consult your doctor and through her/him the pathologist at the testing lab.
