When you say : "swab test" do you mean Pap? Do you know what type of hysterectomy you got? Was it "supracervical" ie was the cervix spared? Still have ovaries? If you still have a cervix & ovaries, you may also have a teeny bit of uterus capable of making an endometrium. Vaginal fissures or cervical changes deeper than the swab can reach are also possible. Consider transvaginal ultrasound for further info.
