Just had a tonsil/adenoidectomy yesterday. woke up to a small amount of blood i spit up. is this normal?

Not unusaul: You can have a small amount of bleeding at times from the surgical site following a tonsillectomy, depending on the method used to remove the tonsils. If you get persistent bleeding or more than a couple of teaspoons you should contact your surgeon.
