Unrealted: Ca125 is a carbohydrate tumor marker seen in many cases of ovarian Cancer. It is not specific to cancer and can be elevated in ovarian inflammation and alcohol cirrhosis. its value is in monitoring ovarian Ca so that rising levels on chemo mean failure while decreasing levels during chemo means response. It should not be used for diagnosis.
