Irritable Bowel: Ibs, or irritable bowel syndrome, can occur at any age. Fiber supplements, high fruit/veggie intake, getting enough fluids, and probiotics are the treatments of choice. Sometimes, if it doesn't improve, the child/patient may need a test (or two) to confirm there isn't anything else going on. As long as the child is gaining weight, conservative management should be just fine.
