Asian glow: Research has shown that a 'asian glow' is indicative of aldh2 [acetaldehyde dehydrogenase ] deficiency, & those affected who drink 2 beers/day have 6-10 times the risk of developing esophageal cancer as a drinker not deficient in the enzyme. See comment for source:.
