NO: Omega 3 oils as sold over the counter are unregulated. That means we do not know exactly what is in them. Therefore, you should not be taking them during pregnancy. Furthermore, studies have defined that these oils taken as supplements, are likely of little to no value with regard to cardiovascular health. I would suggest you take nothing other than what you are prescribed while pregnant.

Yes: There is good evidence that supplemental Omega 3 and / or DHA are beneficial to the developing fetus. It is safe to take during pregnancy.
