Questions about being diagnosed with cirrhosis, non drinker?

Cirrhosis: This is end stage scarring of liver tissues leading to dysfunction and can be due to a wide variety of diseases. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic viral hepatitis, chemically induced (including drugs) hepatitis, and other conditions (Wilson's disease, etc.) can all produce cirrhosis. Your doctor should be able to work out the probable cause.

Other causes: While alcohol is the commonest cause, there are others, e.g., hepatitis B and C, hemochromatosis, fatty liver, persistent heart failure, biliary obstruction and primary biliary cirrhosis etc. See this site for more info. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/cirrhosis-liver
