Similar: Advil and Motrin are both brand names for ibuprofen, and are the same. Aleve (naproxen) is brand name for naproxyn sodum. They are all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. Side effects may include increased stomach acidity, hypertension, decreased blood flow to your kidneys, and bleeding. Try to avoid chronic use. The stomach can be protected with antacids, or acid blocker meds.

Avoid prolonged use: These products belong to a class called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: (NSAID). They should not be taken for prolonged periods or frequently. They can cause bleeding in the stomach and ulcers. If you are getting a sore stomach-you should really avoid these medications and seek medical advise. There are several other complication of prolonged use as well.
