Thyroid removed 2013. since then i get spasms all over. every time i get blood work; told all is in normal ranges. 2 bp meds. should i take potassium?

Thyroid: I presume you have been taking thyroid medicine since your thyroid was removed. How much, how often, and when do you take your thyroxine? Best at bedtime an hour after any food if you can manage that. When do you get your thyroid levels measured? If your spasms are definitely not related to your thyroid issues you should see a neurologist on referral from your doctor.

Doubt potassium: Hi. Thyroidectomy can destroy the parathyroid glands, which regulate blood calcium. Is your blood calcium OK? Why was the thyroidectomy done? Usually it's for thyroid cancer. If your involuntary muscle contractions are not a result of low blood calcium, I doubt your spasms are related to the thyroid surgery. I assume it's been done, but your doc could check electrolytes.
