Got blood work done a month ago. shows my potassium is low. 3.3 what should i do to get it 'normal range'? im not familiar with this topic, thank you

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Follow it: Don't treat a lab value. The reference range is set so that several percent of folks fall a bit outside at either end. Don't confuse it with setting a limit on healthy. The low-end is often 3.5, and this value is of no danger to you. Plus, clinical chemistry analyzers have been known to malfunction from day to day, with all values a bit falsely low. If you feel well, just have it rechecked next yr.
