Not potassium: Cramps are common. They're rarely related to deficiency states and then low calcium or low sodium are more likely. Statin can cause muscle pain, not cramping (spasm). Usually posture, overuse and overstretch are the causes. Try some regular stretching exercises before bed. Try to position your feet in bed in a flexed position-avoid sleeping on your back where your foot flops forward in extension.

Magnesium deficiency: Could cause this. I do not know if magnesium is in the prenatal vitamins.
