Many variables ...: Unlikely, but factors to consider. We presume the sex worker did NOT have HIV. We presume the person you kissed was wearing a condom with the sex worker so the likelihood of getting infected was low. IF, the person who kissed you was infected, the risk of transmitting HIV through kissing is low, but GREATER with a cut present. Bottom line: risk is low, but theoretically possible. SAFE SEX!

Not likely, but: The question is wether you can get HIV from open mouth kissing if you have a cut on your lip. The answer is: highly unlikely. Only certain fluids can transmit HIV: blood, semen, vaginal fluids, rectal fluids and breast milk. Saliva doesn't transmit HIV. In order to become infected by kissing your partner would have to be bleeding orally.
