Complicated issue: In today's economy, many adult kids are moving back home for $ reasons, but parents may be struggling, too. Also important for young adult to learn responsibility for self. Reasonable to charge some rent if s/he has any income, or to set your own "ground rules" for behavior you require or don't allow in your home, including job search efforts, alcohol, respect, etc. Best to talk it out 1st if poss.
