Nerves: Sharp,fleeting,recurrent pains in the legs may be a type of neuropathy or irritability of the nerves in the lower extremities. Muscular causes usually have accompanying twitching,cramping, or quivering. A neurologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you if symptoms persist.
