Talk to her openly: Tell her that you are not comfortable with her advice, and you would feel better with some work-up. If you feel unable to have this discussion, ask to see the doctor. If that doesn't work, ask for a second opinion. Consider changing docs. Having a PCP, whether NP or MD, that you can talk to comfortably is essential so that you are adequately cared for and your needs met.
