Yes: While your child may have febrile seizures, the prolonged fever and recurrent seizures do warrant medical attention. Febrile seizures should last no longer than 10-15 minutes, should happen only once during each febrile illness, and should not be accompanied by post seizure disorientation or prolonged lethargy.
