Vertigo is a symptom: not a diagnosis. Its one thing to be unsteady, light headed or out of sorts. Vertigo is the sensation of being pulled or rotated in a direction. There are many causes. If your symptoms include a dramatic spinning or pulling sensation and it lasts for more than a couple of days see an ENT. If they can't fix the problem they may refer you to a neurologist.
