Vessels: Ultrasound is one of the best test to evaluate thyroid gland; size, echo texture, solid or cystic lesions. Color doppler was used in your case to identify the vessel next to the thyroid gland. Red color indicates that the blood flow goes towards the probe. Blue/green color indicates that the flow goes away from the probe. Nothing for you to worry about.
