Shouldn't always: You haven't explained what body area was cultured, why it was cultured, and what the symptoms were that prompted a culture?? Rare growth means a small concentration of bacteria, staph aureus is the most common bacteria normally found on your skin and mucous membranes, and there are 2 types of staph - MRSA, which is a resistant strain, and MSSA, which isn't. Ask your doc about treatment, depends...
