A member asked:

Had cholecystectomy 2 months ago and developed bile reflux. tried ppis not working. what other meds treat it and is it forever or temporary symptom?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Is normal: Is not uncommon to have bile reflux after gallbladder surgery, PPI's not helpful for that. This entity is self limited, may take several months to go away, but you can try small meal more frequent. If your symptoms do not improve you should see a gastroenterologist.
