A member asked:

Why did i get bile reflux after cholecystectomy and it is sucralfate the only med that can help? does it get better with time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cause is thought: to be loss of bile storage capacity in gallbladder. Sometimes bile binding agents such as cholestyramine can help if sucralfate is not effective. And yes it usually does improve over time as your body adjusts to the absence of your gallbladder.
