Fungal infection: Chronic sinus infection is usually due to mold - try antifungal cream and neosporin oint to nostrils twice daily and orally supplement garlic which kills infections - it will take 4-6 weeks to clear fungal infection. Once healthy take iodine daily will prevent infections.

A 46-year-old female asked:

Have had 2 positive d dimer tests, mild cough (though probably asthma), am obese. Ct (head and chest) and ultrasound negative. Ankles swollen. Next?

Venous incompetence: D dimer is a non-specific test meaning it doesn't really tell us anything espeically with a normal ct which would have picked up a pulmonary embolus. The most common cause of ankle swelling especially in obese people is venous incompentence. The valves in your veins aren't working and that leads to venous pooling in your ankles and feet.

I am on an IUD as a contraceptive and have had it since november 2011. Everything has been fine until two weeks ago, I had vaginal thrush. And have now realized i'm a few days late of my period. Could this be an effect of having thrush?

VAGINITIS: The most common cause of vaginitis is monilial or fungus infection. It is like cottage cheese discharge and itchy.Iud sometimes causes a lot of menstrual bleeding otherwise ok. This is not related to your infection or delayed mens. You need treatment for your vaginitis.

30 year old male. Chills, headache, back pain body soreness. Had car accident 8yrs ago hurting in knee and arm where it got injured. What could it be?

Infection: Your current symptoms are probably not connected to your past accident but suggest the start of an infection - probably viral like the flu if you also have stuffy and/or runny nose, coguh, fever.
