Possibly related: Barrett's esophagus can result from long term reflux. If reflux is severe it can irritate the vocal cords and cause hoarseness. Reflux can also cause a lot of burning and chest discomfort that can feel like rib tightness. So it is really the reflux that may cause your symptoms, not actually the Barrett's.
