I have early fibrosis and lifelong hcv. can recurring, intermittent splenomegaly be caused by hcv alone? or does it need evaluation? no other symptoms

Splenomegaly: Possibly portal hypertension which is a result of fibrosis/cirrhosis. Can also be mono or HIV, rare parasitic/fungal/ bacterial infections, abnormal hemoglobin or metabolic/autoimmune diseases ( but then it is constantly enlarged) and rarely tumors like lymphoma again that would be constant. Duplex ultrasound/ spectral color/ power doppler can image. Discuss with MD?GI
