From Above: A better overall strategy is to help constipation " from above" so to speak. Increased fluids, vegetables, salad, perhaps a daily spoonful of metamucil are all helpful. Add in a daily dose of Miralax (polyethylene glycol) or mineral oil and you should be able to have soft daily stools. Using glycerin suppository is safe, however, if the above strategies aren't helping.
