A "dud"?: Usually energy drinks have plenty of caffeine and the response of many individuals to caffeine is very different:. For example, if you drink plenty of caffeinated beverages routinely and you add some more, the addition may not make any difference. Also: with a resting HR of 45 bpm, you must be in very good physical shape and HR response to caffeine may be blunted.
