Take it easy: Juat stop poking the lump. It's sounds to me a benign, means nothing to worry.

Sounds like: A "sebaceous cyst" (infected hair follicle")? Attach a picture... It can be drained then removed.....any general surgeon can do!! Hot packs will help in the meantime. Hope this helps Dr Z
