Good fats: Fat is not bad. You need fats to survive. The trick is good fats vs. Bad fats. Trans & saturated fats (as in animal fats) are dangerous. But unsaturated fats (poly & mono) are good for you - in fact, they improve your cholesterol levels (higher hdl/good, lower ldl/bad). Unsaturated fats are in plant-based products, including nuts.
