Seborrheic keratosis: This type of flat, benign growth comes from skin cells that grow abnormally quickly. They are quite common and known to form on the earlobe. They may be more likely to develop due to UV light exposure. If true wart, may be due to HPV. Your primary care doctor or dermatologist can be certain it is benign and not a skin cancer, and can also treat/remove it with liquid nitrogen or burning it off.

Dermatologist: The "visibility" of the wart PLUS the high blood supply (bleeds easily of the earlobe means you are best treated by a Board Certified Dermatologist! Ask your PCP (Primary Care Provider) for a referral!
