Fiber= gas: It is not uncommon to have gas from eating too much fiber- just look at the cattle. However moderation may be what you need. You must balance the benefit vs the side effects with your diet. If whole grain is the only thing which helps your IBS, you may have no other choice. On the other hand, there are other ways to get fiber than from whole grain. Talk to your doctor or dietitian.
