Little if any risk: T'here is little or no risk of syphilis by fingering or other hand-genital contact. In addition, absence of a syphilitic sore (chancre) in the next 2-3 weeks after exposure is strong evidence against syphilis. Negative blood test at 4 weeks is about 90% reliable; it takes 6 weeks for conclusive result.
