Crepitus: The sound a moving joint makes is called crepitus. It is often associated with inflammation, pain & joint immobility, which means arthritis. You don't have all the signs/symptoms of arthritis, & u seem too young to have it anyways. You could have some loose cartilage or an anatomical abnormality. Keep an eye on it &see ur doc if u develop other symptoms. Thanx for trusting HealthTap w/ ur question

No Pain=OK: In general a noisy, painless joint is nothing to worry about. The structures within the joint - ligaments&tendons can move when you move and make noise. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
