Probably not: Once premature atrial complexes (or atrial premature beats) are identified, further evaluation should be aimed at determining whether there is underlying structural heart disease. Your ECHO was apparently normal. Precipitants for APB's include alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, and stress. If symptoms become persistent, there are some medical therapies or ablative techniques which can be used.
